Each of these birds are ones that I have seen in my own yard. The images are handprinted using two blocks on colored papers to integrate more colors within the piece. Each is then finished with hand drawn details.

Figural Landscape Series

I often visualize a reclining female figure as I drive the roads that pass along and above the low hills rising from the valley. That thought inspired this four piece series of monotype prints which also represent the four seasons.  

Elemental Mandala Series

I created the mixed media Elemental Mandala series in 2008 incorporating the print process with hand painting, Polaroid transfers and natural objects.

Small Animal Totem Series

This series was inspired by an incredible trip to the Canadian Rockies and British Columbia. I saw each of these animals while traveling around. The concept of combining the individual animal images into a “totem” was influenced by the many Inuit Totem poles in the Northwest.

Mixed Media

Having taught Art for over twenty years I had to know about and work with many different media. This actually now allows me to choose the medium, or combination, that best expresses my ideas.

Garden Greetings

Garden Greetings notecards are all hand printed original design block prints on Mulberry paper. I then attach those to recycled, acid-free 5″x7″ folded card stock and include an envelope.
