Figural Landscape Series

I often visualize a reclining female figure as I drive the roads that pass along and above the low hills rising from the valley. That thought inspired this four piece series of monotype prints which also represent the four seasons.

Small Animal Totem Series

This series was inspired by an incredible trip to the Canadian Rockies and British Columbia. I saw each of these animals while traveling around. The concept of combining the individual animal images into a “totem” was influenced by the many Inuit Totem poles in the Northwest.

Monotype combines a painterly technique with the printmaking process of transferring an image from plate to paper to create a one-of-a-kind print. It usually takes several layers of ink as well as some final hand painting to achieve the results you see in my work.
